From a trainee to a Delivery Manager of the same project – all within just about a decade –I came a long way! They say, “In the middle of every difficulty, lies an opportunity”. I got my breakthrough via one of the projects which was in red status. Having assumed the role of technical lead of such project, it was a golden opportunity to save the sinking ship and make a mark! We burnt our midnight fuels and as a team we managed to showcase and save the project and were given our due credibility. It was in true sense a team effort worth recognizing and the sense of achievement along with gaining such a team is fulfilling in true sense.

There is a lot of growth potential in the APAC region, and I see my role expanding into managing business in the countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, in addition to Australia & New Zealand. Also, there is scope to manage some Industry verticals within the Business Unit. Mphasis focuses on building the Leadership qualities in people, and has established several focused programs like Design Thinking, Smart Coaching & Founders Mindset. These have helped me immensely. Also, opportunities are always open for people who are willing to go the extra mile.
Mphasis is organic and inclusive. It’s easy to tag a leader’s growth against profits or numbers but Mphasis looks at the holistic performance of a team. As a leader it’s an important mindset to have, as sometimes we get blindfolded by the desire to get numbers on the board. Mphasis has enabled me to balance these factors as a leader.
