ALL ABOUT HYBRID CLOUD YOU NEED TO KNOW

What is Hybrid Cloud?

A hybrid cloud is a computing environment that combines both public cloud and a private cloud.

While most businesses would have committed to a platform, there is an upsurge trend towards embracing a hybrid or multi-cloud environment, and that demands a growing need for talent with fluency across a variety of platforms - Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Red Hat and NetApp (NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect and NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator certifications).

So, which cloud certifications would be apt for you? The answer really subjects to various aspects of your career in IT. If you already got a start, then based on your background and level of experience, followed by the industry vertical you’re part of, to what your long-term goals are, you can decide on the certifications you may need. For starters, going with a platform would be a much-structured approach but having a versatile profile would only add value and keep your profile in demand.

Lynne Williams, professor at the School of Business and Information Technology at Purdue University Global, recommends that anyone interested in gaining certification “should examine their own role in managing hybrid cloud operations and go after the certification that best supports the organization’s needs as well as their own,”. For example, a database manager should consider certification in the foundations of big data in the hybrid cloud, and information security professionals should pursue security management in the hybrid cloud.
The best approach to really catapult your career is to keep a keen eye on the advanced tech space and the technology adoption by the industry. According to Oracle’s Cloud Predictions 2020, “80% of all enterprise (and mission-critical) workloads will move to the cloud by 2025”. The hybrid cloud market is expected to grow from USD 44.6 billion in 2018 to USD 97.6 billion by 2023, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 17.0% – Reported by MnM. An old AWS slogan, “Cloud is a new normal”, is now a reality and has a massive scope for cloud computing professionals in the years to come.
Simply put, all you need is knowledge, experience and the right certification on cloud platforms.
Experience in Design, Migration, Infra as code and Cloudops are some of the skills in demand.
Mphasis’s TalentNext program provides a great platform for employees to upskill on the advanced technologies shaping the future forward looking businesses. We envisioned a program that supports our employees to develop the skills needed to help our clients build digital businesses. To begin with, Mphasis is addressing this need by launching 10-15 new training platforms mapped to different skills, competency levels, and in different geographies. Employees are trained in digital IT services skills, including cloud, automation, and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). What makes the training modules unique is that diverse methodologies are being employed for effectiveness. For instance, storytelling and theater are being used as mediums to train employees in soft skills, and competency boards are being used for others.Join our world to experience the next.
