User Experience

  • Flair to transform real life paradigms to plausible designs

  • Adept in detailed user research and user centered design methodologies

Visual Design

  • Excellent at illustrating design ideas for print and digital collateral

  • Operating knowledge of typography, color pallets, layouts, and portal designs

  • Seamless Brand adaptation and implementation capabilities

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

UI Development

  • Combine Art of Design with Art of Programming by developing UI layer with pluggable modules considering performance, re-usability, maintainability, security

  • Ensure best of the coding standards using emerging technologies and stabilizing it with a layer of Unit Testing

  • Perform closely with customer, product management, graphic designers, usability experts plus back-end developers to present compelling user experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Technical Writing

  • Process complex technical information and generate well-structured, consistent, and easy to comprehend content

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

  • Meet with customer representatives, vendors, SMEs, or publishers to establish technical specifications and guidelines

  • Plan, develop, organize, compose, and revise user manuals, implementation guides, API documentation etc.

  • Good working knowledge of tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, RoboHelp, Snagit, Swagger etc.

ALL ABOUT UI/UX DEVELOPER YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

What is UET?

UET is an abbreviation for User Experience Team. This team at Mphasis drives all the activities related to UI development, UX design, graphic design, and technical writing. UET is also referred to as UEP (User Experience Practice).

UI (User Interface): Front-end of applications UI Developers build UI. They will have good experience in JavaScript framework (Angular, React), Bootstrap, and other similar frameworks. Using these technologies, they build responsive and multi-device compatible interfaces.

UX (User Experience): UX Designers design interaction between a UI and User. This interaction constitutes user experience. The UX designers, create Customer Journey Maps, Personas, Wireframes etc. and are also known as Information Architects.

TW (Technical Writing): Technical writing is a form of writing that transforms complex technical information into well-structured and easy to understand documents. Technical writers understand the overall functionality of a software or UI and create content for different audience. They will have working knowledge of different authoring tools such as FrameMaker and RoboHelp.

GD (Graphic Design): Involves Illustrations, using color pallets, creating brand compliant themes etc. Graphic designers have good knowledge about visual art and designs. They work on different design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Visual CSS, Pantone Color guide etc.

A relevant qualification for UX Designers would be a design degree like M Des or Interaction Design; it is not mandatory. UI Developers are expected to have qualifications that any software engineer would have.
A relevant qualification for Technical Writers would be a major in English. They should have good writing skills and an aptitude to understand technology.
Visual Designers typically have a Visual Arts degree or training.
User Experience Practice is a horizontal business unit and it is engaged with all our client projects where front-end work is required. If you have the required skills needed to be a UX Designer, Visual Designer, UI Developer or a Technical Writer, then you can be a part of the Practice.
The UET Practice is responsible for all the front-end related aspects of our client projects. The Practice engages with our clients right from ideation stages to defining the user experience strategies. We chalk out customer journeys and personas using different relevant tools for building wireframes and designs. The practice also designs visuals and create style guides for brand compliance. The practice works closely with other delivery teams and is a custodian of end-user requirements as the software is developed.
